I was struck this week by a quote I came across on social media. It said:

‘No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted’ – Aesop

An important premise to keep in mind on this day, the International Day of Charity. Every year, this day is observed around the world to promote and celebrate the spirit of giving, kindness, and philanthropy. Created by the United Nations (UN) General Assembly in 2012, this special day has become widely celebrated across the world over the past decade.

Its prime purpose is to raise awareness and provide a common platform for charity-related activities all over the world for individuals, charitable, philanthropic, and volunteer organisations, both on local and international levels.

As a forward-thinking Community Interest Company dedicated to providing specialised financial, strategic and impact advice to organisations who want to make a difference, we celebrate this day with a renewed commitment.

Inspiring Acts of Charity

As we celebrate International Day of Charity, it’s crucial to remember that everyone can make a difference, regardless of their resources or expertise. Just as the day’s purpose suggests, it’s an opportunity to do some good:

You can volunteer for your favourite charities, hold a fundraiser, donate some money or goods, or get involved in helping others – whether they are on your doorstep or further afield. It doesn’t matter how big or small the activity is, as long as the motivation is to help others and make a positive impact.

Remember, every act of kindness, no matter how small, could change someone’s life.
